FAQ
What happened to the Subscription packages that were previously available?
Subscriptions required purchasers to create a member account, including
provision of personal data and password. To eliminate any chance of such
personal data being illegally accessed, I have removed the Subscription
option and, with it, any need to create accounts, provide personal data
or log in.
So how do I order photos?
Please see
How it Works where there's a detailed explanation on ordering photos.
Do you offer refunds?
Once your purchase is made I cannot offer a refund. The reason for this
policy is straightforward: as all products are "digital", they cannot be
returned as is the case with a tangible product. So a "no-questions"
refund policy is open to abuse by unscrupulous buyers who can purchase
images, request a refund and still use the images.
In special circumstances I may make exceptions on a case by case basis.
If you are not satisfied with any images purchased and downloaded,
please contact me.
Why is PayPal the only payment method?
PayPal is a popular, worldwide payment method that does also allow
buyers to use their credit cards. Once you checkout, you are leaving
this site and only enter any required info to PayPal's secure site. None
of this information is ever seen or stored on this site.
Why can I only use downloaded photos as reference for artwork?
This site is built specifically for artists needing reference photos and
the photos are priced accordingly, i.e. for one type of use only.
Can I sell art work I create using your photos?
Yes, absolutely. The whole intention of this site is that artists who
purchase reference photos for their work can do so knowing they have a
valid license that gives them the legal right to sell their work.
Can I sell reproductions?
Yes provided the original is a work of art as defined in the Purchase Agreement.
What does "royalty free" mean?
It means you can use any photo you download multiple times without having to pay for each usage.
What format are the photos in?
All photos for download are in JPG format, saved at a high quality.
Can I make copies of photos I download for backup?
Yes, in fact you're encouraged to make backups. Ideally you should keep
the originals in a separate file, then make copies which you can use for
mock-ups, or that you might want to lighten or darken in photo editing
software
Can I request photos to be added to the Galleries?
Yes, any requests will be welcomed, although there are obviously no
guarantees I can provide what you want, particularly where wild animals
are concerned.
